Accepting (season) Change

So here we are, approaching November and bracing ourselves for the cold that lies ahead. I'm going to get a little personal for a second and say that there's been a lot more changing for me than just the season, and I've come to one conclusion, change is beautiful and we need to embrace it.

I'm in my last year of college and have had more happen in my life in the past 4 months than I've ever experienced. I started a blog and a vintage shop, traveled on my own to places I never thought I would get to see, loved hard and gotten my heart utterly destroyed, and most importantly discovered what I originally thought was my purpose in life is NOT what I'm called to do.

I'll spare you the details, but it all comes down to this; We are flesh and bone and we deserve to be loved. We have the right to never accept anything less than what we deserve. Change and letting go of the past can be daunting, but great things come out of discomfort. Seasons will change and so will our friends, careers, relationship, etc. I've learned to run with the changes and, anytime I'm feeling down, put on a damn good outfit that says "look, world, I'm here to make an impact and there's nothing you can throw at me that I can't handle. Bring. It."

All of that in mind, I challenge you guys to embrace the nature of change and wear clothes that allow you to feel confident and powerful enough to take on the world.

Today I'm wearing my all time favourite (seriously, the best shoes I've ever purchased) boots called the AllLegs by Stuart Weitzman. Given how incredibly high they sit, I've started wearing them with oversized tees and sweatshirts. Today I paired them with an oversized sweater I got from Target, my favourite Calvin Klein backpack, and the Hugo Boss aviators I talked about in my last post. I wanted to keep it simple to show how easy it can be to dress down a suede heeled boot!

I hope my experience with change can help you guys manage yours. There's power in dressing like a badass, and you owe it to yourself to feel like one!

All the best,
