Rustic + Raw

Happy Saturday, everyone! So I wanted to do a quick little blog post before I go exploring Memphis tomorrow and thought this look was perfect for it! But before I get to that, I want to talk about something that's been on my mind recently.

Jealousy.

In our society it can be almost impossible not to feel it sometimes. Someone is always going to have the job we want, the car we want, or the partner we want...but we need to get over it. Everybody's definition of success and beauty is different, but that does not give us the right to belittle, shame, or call out our competition. Take inspiration instead of hatred from the people who challenge you.

And to all the jealous people out there trying to bring us down, fuck you. You can stay in your lane and watch all of us fly on by because self-confidence comes from belief in one's self, not the disbelief in others. But I'll get off my soap box and get back to what you came here for...

Leith (a Nordstrom brand) recently dropped a KILLER line of statement necklaces for dirt cheap. I snagged the one pictured + another silver ornate crystal piece, and I can't get enough! A statement necklace is my absolute favorite way to spice up what would otherwise be a plain outfit. The Leith 'Armour' Collar necklace I'm wearing makes a bold statement thanks to oversized links, spearhead-shaped charms and rich, antiqued finish.

I balance both of my Leith statemant pieces with basics like raw edged high waisted flares from Gap (Sold out, similar on Madewell here), pointed toe booties (Sam Edelman), and slim fit turtlenecks found at stores like Gap, Madewell, J. Crew, and Target to name a few.
