Lockeland Leather

The weekend is here, praise God Hallelujah. So, I'm very excited about today's post because it features one of my favorite up and coming East Nashville businesses. 

Meet Lockeland Leatherworks.

It's no surprise that I am all about supporting local and small businesses. The quality of the product is better and there's heart and soul in each piece. It's also no surprise that I've been known to get down with some fine leather goods now and again. That said, It only seemed natural that I try out a pair of Lockeland's Leather Braces!

So let's talk about the braces themselves...they are handmade in East Nashville of 6oz Wickett & Craig Tan English Bridle Leather sourced from Curwensville, Pennsylvania. The leather has undergone staking to make it more comfortable and features badass handstitched detailing. The lightweight Solid Brass Mini Trigger Snaps fasten directly to your existing belt loops and make the braces easy to wear and incredibly practical!

Joey Verzilli, the cool cat in charge, has more knowledge and passion about leather than anyone I've seen in a long time (he's also one of the nicest guys on the planet). So do yourself a favor and hit up his site for all of your leather needs. Now how do I style my braces? Today I kept it simple with a pair of black skinny jeans, gray Free People Buttondown (no longer available, similar here), and rag & bone chelsea boots (no longer available, similar here). Recently I've worn them with high waisted flares as well and I'm loving it! The possibilities are endless and the color of the leather works with any pair of jeans you have in your closet.
