Happy Hump Day everyone! As we know, it's beginning to warm up in Nashville...but that doesn't mean it's warming up everywhere. I knew this week I really wanted to play with the Barely There trend, but I also wanted to make sure I was catering to the people who aren't basking in the new spring heat.

So I decided to go with this look and honestly, I've been LIVING in it! I decided to pair a simple black lace slip (I snagged mine from Victoria's Secret) with black skinny jeans, black boots, and a simple black choker. When the temperature dips, I've been throwing on a traditional army green bomber to balance the overwhelming femininity of the slip. 

I love everything about the Barely There trend, but it's important to remember it's all about balance! Match overwhelming sexuality (take this backless lace slip and choker combo for example) with a little bit of structure (the tight black jeans and black boots combo). Remember to combat feminine shapes (the lace deep v) with rugged details (the rips in the black jeans) and you'll be set for a killer daytime to nighttime look!
