It's a shame to me that the maxi dress has gotten such a bad reputation as of late. It seems they all have either too much material or (somehow) not enough. Mix that with the hideous color combinations big brand fashion labels are presenting and you get one moronically unflattering neon tent. Now the real shame of it all is that, when done correctly, maxi dresses can be dashingly delicate and oh so flattering. Leave it to Anthropologie to prove me correct!

Even though I'll admit I snagged this beauty last year, Anthro still has some AMAZING dresses like this one, this one, and this one. And don't forget about their sister site Urban Outfitters that has this one and this one as well. I paired mine with Prada's go at the Chuck Taylor to make the finished look comfy & effortless.
